Can Bonlasharp sharpen Damascus steel knives?

The Bonlasharp is not suitable for ceramic knives as they are not magnetic and cannot be held in a magnetic holder.
How do I sharpen knives that are taller than the sharpening disk?
For taller knives, such as large Chinese chef's knives, a cutting board can be placed under the Bonlasharp sharpener to bring the sharpener up to the height of the blade. Then roll it back and forth until the blade becomes sharp.
How do I sharpen smaller knives?
You need to turn the aluminum base over so that the knife is fixed to the base with the blade facing down, hold the roller and gently roll it back and forth until the blade becomes sharp. (Of course you can also place the base on a cutting board if you feel it is low)
How long does it take to sharpen a knife?
For initial sharpening, the preferred need is to confirm the appropriate sharpening angle for your knife (15°/18°/20°/24°), which usually takes between 1 and 5 minutes for the first sharpening, and may take up to 10 minutes for particularly hard knives such as Damascus. Subsequent sharpenings only require a few back and forth rolls to restore sharpness.
How long will the sharpening disk last?
Bonlasharp's diamond sharpening discs and sharpening stone discs are extremely durable under normal use and usually do not need to be replaced frequently. Diamond is the hardest material on earth and provides long-lasting sharpening results.
